Petroleum Coke, produced through the delayed coking process of residues obtained from crude oil distillation units in oil refineries, is referred to as Green or Raw Petroleum Coke (RPC). RPC serves as the raw material for the production of Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC). The RPC received from oil refineries comes in various particle sizes. It is then crushed and processed to achieve the desired particle size. The crushed RPC is subsequently fed into a rotary kiln, where it is subjected to temperatures ranging from 1200°C to 1400°C to produce Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC).
- Size : C.P. Coke derived from the kiln is in size of 0 mm to 30 mm. The same can be further supplied in any size required by the customer.
- Packing : In 25/50 Kg PP/HDPE bags or in Jumbo Bags as per customer’s requirement.
Application :
- Aluminum Industry: As a critical component in the production of anodes, Calcined Petcoke is indispensable in the electrolytic process of aluminum smelting.
- Steel Industry: Utilized as a recarburizer (carburizer) in steel manufacturing, it aids in achieving the desired carbon content in steel.
- Battery Anodes: With the rise of electric vehicles and renewable energy storage solutions, both Green Petcoke and Calcined Petcoke play a pivotal role in the production of battery anode coke and electric battery anodes. This application underscores the material’s importance in the burgeoning energy transition sector.
- Iron and Foundry Industry: Employed as a carburizer, it enhances the carbon content in iron casting processes, optimizing the quality and durability of the final products.
